POSTURAL THERAPY
“Better than 90% of the brain’s output is directed toward maintaining your body in its gravitational field. Therefore, the less energy one spends on one’s posture, the more energy is available for healing, digestion, and thinking."
- Robert W. Sperry
Good posture is the foundation for great health.
When your posture is compromised, so is every system in your body.
Stop chronic aches and pains
Stability, when talking about the body, refers to the structural foundation of the musculoskeletal system and its ability to function against the pull of gravity. In other words, do you have a sturdy foundation to support all of your daily activities? The body's ability to move efficiently (mobility) and build strength is directly affected by how the body holds itself. Over time, injuries, traumas, repetitive use, and gravity, all affect the body's static posture. The further out of alignment the body gets (more compression on joints, muscles, organs), the more energy it has to use just to stay upright, and the less energy it has for everyday activities. The more compression it endures, the more compensation it creates. These compensations can lead to compromised form for strength training, repetitive sports injuries, and chronic pain.
- Enhance joint mechanics, alignment, flexibility and balance
- Promote healthy bone and muscle development
- Encourage efficient digestive and respiratory function
- Improve athletic performance and recovery

What will we do?
- Take pictures in front of a grid for subjective visual feedback
- Complete an assessment of 21 bony landmarks using a patented measuring tool to objectively evaluate postural deviations
- Design and practice a corrective exercise routine customized to address your specific postural deviations.
What should I expect from my body?
- This process is a neuro-physiological one and generally takes 10-16 weeks to become a habit in the body. The process is three-fold:
■ Second, we will introduce proper movement patterns
■ Third, we support and reinforce the patterns by strengthening the body’s neuromuscular system to allow muscles to perform their intended role and function.
"Thanks for everything. I have renewed hope for a positive outcome." - Nelson Z.
