ErgoMOMics™ is a program that I designed to help better prepare families for the repetitive stresses inherent in caring for a new baby. Most prenatal classes focus on the actual pregnancy, healthy delivery, and general care of an infant. What they don't cover is how to prepare for and manage the new postures and movement patterns required of new parents and how to create an environment where your body (and baby) can thrive once baby arrives!!
Classes, workshops, in-home assessments and care are offered at my studio in Ocean Beach and throughout San Diego. You'll learn how to get the most from your baby gear; techniques to prevent repetitive stress injuries common to new parents; and self-care exercises to manage the aches and pains when they arise. (Private group sessions are available by request and on location.)
While the initial focus of this program is on the first year of life, the information, tips, lessons, and activities are relevant through preschool (and beyond)! As long as you're still carrying your child, these techniques still apply!
